Responsible and Effective Designs

Academic History
Hi, my name is Liam Jones. I started down the path of construction and design in 2014 when I enrolled in a Career Technology Center for a drafting and design program. There, I was introduced to mechanical, civil, and architectural drafting. Within this three year program, I decided to specialize in architecture and learned the basics of computer aided drafting.

After high school, I started to seek for higher education and ended up learning about Pennsylvania College of Technology. What really caught my attention was the focus on sustainable design and responsible construction. I was accepted to the two-plus-two program at Penn College where I received an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology within my first two years of study, and now I seek to earn my Bachelors in Building Science and Sustaniable Design by 2021.

During my time at college, I have had the opportunity to be in an internship at Larson Design Group where I had exposure to the business side of architecture and work closely with clients. I also was able to study abroad in London and Paris to explore some of the most historic sites of architecture and personally see how cities continue to develop with the changing needs of the modern day. I have also been heavily involved in school clubs and volunteer work while trying to find a balance with studies and extracurricular activities.
